Robin & Andrew at EM

This beautiful Jewish wedding ceremony took place on Sunday, January 16, 2011 at EM in the Design District.

The program centered around Leonard Cohen's “Halleluja” for the bride’s processional and featured Cantor Itzhak Zhrebker extensively. Custom arrangements for string quartet and voice were created for all ceremony songs with the exception of  “Erev Shel Shoshanim” and “Lu yehi” which were played instrumentally.

Rehearsing an hour before prelude with the cantor actually proved to be a bit of a challenge as the reception band was sound-checking at the same time in an adjacent room at full volume. The hazards of the gig :)

Program:
Seating of the Grandparents
Shemer – “Lu yehi”

Groom
Numberg – “S’u Shearim”

Groomsmen & Bridesmaids
Hadar – “Erev Shel Shoshanim”

Bridal Processional

During the service
“Mi Bosiach”
Mombach – “Baruch Habah”
“Im Eshkachech”

Twice in a blue moon

Dallas on a Friday evening in the snow - it happened in February last year also. The time before that was in 1987.
